I am having a short ceremony and the reception is in the same place. I was going to walk down by myself but now I feel I should let my step father have the honor. I have been with FI for 10 years and thought I don't need to be given away I have been away long enough. My step father was the reason I left home at 18 but we have let the past be the past and get along now. If I didn't have him walk me how would I include him so he's not too upset? I haven't talked to my real father in 15 years so their would be no jealousy there. Also I can't stand my sister in law. (FI's brothers wife.) She really pulled a lot of bull ---- and went out of her way to exclude me from her wedding. How can I involve her if I have to or should I not? I need outside advice because everyone has an opinion on what I should do and I can't make a decision. Thanks!

You could ask your mom to walk you down the aisle if you want. I don't think you have to include your step father if you don't really want to. Were you planning on dancing with him for a father/daughter dance?
From your post I would not ask your sister in law to be part of the wedding.

That's so true. My friend had her mom walk her down and it was wonderful. The SIL shouldn't be apart of it at all if she doesn't like you. FORGET HER.

i think that would be more then enough. i would consider asking your mom to walk down with you or walking alone is fine also. i wouldnt include anyone you dont get along with and excluded you for there wedding
