How do you know that the photographer is right.....for you? How do you judge them, besides personallity? I am getting FMs from different ones and I look online and thing all of their work is great!! So how did you pick your photographer?

I did a TON of research online. I am trying to be a photographer myself - so I was big on their pictures 'talking to me'. You really need to see a lot of their work - ask for recent work shots so you can see their newest stuff. The personality vibe is HUGE...this is one of the most important vendors you will hire - so you HAVE to get along with them/him/her...
On the vendor day - we went and met with one photographer (the only photog that day we had planned to see)... We met his office staff and HATED them...they also didn't tell us that the main guy wasn't available...so we walked out and were like, um.....NO THANKS. I went on my cell to another photog i had liked and sent him an email (we had chatted briefly) and said if you're free today - give me a call. Not 10 minutes later - my cell was ringing. He was 100% flexible and was willing to meet with us after all of our other appointments - at 8:00 at night. We got lost on the way there and he was SPLENDID with us...just his way laid back vibe was exactly what we were looking for. He didn't try to hard sell us on albums or any extras... He answered all of my photography questions the way my ideal photog would...and there ya go. We cannot say enough about psyched we are!!!!!

How do you know the differnces in their work? Who are you going with and as well with videographer? Thanks for all your info

I based it on personality.. we booked one.. and he was awesome.. and the pictures were nice.. but then we were referred to someone else and his personality was amazing and the pictures were beyond amazing.. and we cancelled our contact with the first photographer and booked with the 2nd.. and we made the right decision!!!!
