If you won't know the final count for your wedding until a few weeks before. I understand that you would order extra but what if you order WAY too many?
Thats why I am going to wait till I get the RSVP'S in... I dont want to get stuck with way too many... I will order like 10 extra over the rsvp amount to be safe
I ordered the same amount as the number of invitations that I ordered.
Are you doing per person or couple? Ours was per invitation so we ordered one amount (125), then as we started to get a final number we ordered more. We also ordered extra to give to people that couldn't make the wedding but still gave gifts, neighbors that weren't invited but still gave gifts, etc.

I made my own but I made the same amount as our hall maximum plus two extra (for me and FH!) We'll probably have quite a few left over but in case we think of people at the last minute to invite we know we'll definitely have enough!

a couple of venders said not to do this. Due to the war and the searches that
police are conducting. A lot of orders are on delay! So to be sure that you
have the right about you want, you should order sooner
than later
This is just what i was told
Order per invitation that your are mailing out and then order a few more just in case of breakage or someone you didn't invited gave you a gift.

Generally I purchased half and will purchase the reminder as the replies come in.

police/army/navy i forget but the
searches that they do on large trucks and ships and planes
to make sure there are no bomb
I couldn't really until all my rsvp's came in because I needed time for the favors to be ordered. I just took a good guess and how many people we anticipated and ordered 10 extra. Of course we still have left overs and we've been married almost a year now! My parents are going to italy this summer so I am sending some favors to family that sent us money...at least we'll get rid of some that way.
We're doing on favor per couple and we're inviting 200 people, not all couples. We'll probably order somewhere between 125-140 favors.
