How do you know when you have a sinus infection?

I have just the worst cold ever. It feels way worse than usual. How do I know when I have a sinus infection?

Eeeekkk! i had one of those once. It was super hard to get rid of! I had an EXTREMELY runny nose... like nothing I've ever had before. I don't wanna get too graphic! ha ha!
And major headaches... the pain seemed to be coming from right above my right eye. Also... my throat started hurting and nausea from the drip thing (forgot what that's called). I went to the dr and he told me it was a sinus infection and gave me lots of meds. You should probably go to a dr if you think that's what you have bc you will need antibiotics. Put your head in between your knees if you get a head rush( Like alot of pressure) .. Its a infection or you have post nasal drip..

It's painful, lots of pressure, runny nose, I usually have a sore throat - def need antibiotics if you have one. Feel better!!!

This is going to sound really gross, but, a dr told me that it's an infection if your mucous is green.

When I have sinus infections the first clue is it's a cold that just keeps getting worse. My head also gets really stuffy and I have a constant headache. I had one a few months ago and I was SO dizzy b/c it had spread into my inner ear.

When in doubt it's a lot safer to just go to the dr and have him/her check it out.

I think there's usually a fever involved and green mucus.

This is going to sound gross but is whatever you are blowing out or coughing up green? If so then you have a sinus infection. They are easy to kick with antibiotics. HTH!

1. If your snot is green, we have a problem................u need antibiotics. Clear, yellow and white are ok.
2. If you have a fever greater than 100.4. call your doctor, you need antibiotics.
3. if your symptoms persist greater than 2 days with the above 2, call your doctor.

There is a NASTY viral thing going around right now, so just rest, drink lots of fluid, tea is good, and feel better :)

I had a sinus infection a couple of months back. You constantly blow your nose and it's green (sorry for the gore). I had a CAT scan taken and it revealed the infection. I was given antibiotics and it knocked it right out.

i get a sinus infection just about every year, i have sinus problems so for me this is normal. You will feel alot of pressure around your nose, even by your eyes many times and can make your eyes watery. When you have an infection you'll know bc of how much pressure you are feeling. You are gonna need antibiotics just in case you do have this

I'm on antibiotics for a sinus infection right now and I had all the symptoms the girls talked about....except the green snot...mine was yellow...sorry so graphic Feel better!
