Did you not even think about it until a few weeks after you tried it on?
I have a habit of over analyzing just about everything. I'm curious to hear your stories of wedding dress 'lightbulb' moments.

I think you just know...and usually it's never one you would think you'd choose!
I wanted a very simple straight gown...and then the store convinced me to try on some mermaid ones, and i loved the way I looked in them, but wasn't thrilled with any of those dresses. Then I went to another store, and asked them to give me any mermaid they had. They had a few, and the woman gave me the dress and I looked at it on the hanger and was like ugh, and almost put it back, but figured may as well try it on.
Turns out that was the one I loved best on, and now I'm pretty obsessed with it!

I found a picture of it and I really liked it so I brought it with me to all my appointments...the first store I went to found something close to the dress in the picture but I didnt get 'the feeling' Then I went to Kleinfelds where the dress in teh picture was there and it was the first one they had me try one.....I fell in love with it on the spot. Then when she put me in the veil I just got goose bumps and suddenly felt like I was about to walk down the aisle. I didnt want ot take it off and I couldnt imagine wearing anything else on my wedding day.

You have a picture in your head and after you try on different styles, you know what you DONT like. lol. Then, either you, your mom, your FMIL, or the saleslady, cries and you know it's THE dress. At least that was my experience.

It was really funny for me because I had a picture that I fell in love with but assumed it wouldn't look good. I tried on a bunch of things and my original picture was the dress that I loved. My dress lady was so funny because she said that when she saw the picture too she knew it would be the one.

Everyone told me you'd just know......So when I went to try on dresses I was waiting for the 'feeling'.............. I tried on like 8 different ones and and had it down to two.... So I tried them on again, one that I saw on DB website and one I just picked!!!! And once I put on 'the dress' I pictured myself on that day and started to cry..... Of course of happiness
So you'll know when it 'The One'

I found a dress in a picture and LOVED it.....and as soon as I tried it on it just clicked and I knew that was the one....I tried on a ton of others just to make sure and nothing compared....you just know

I had my dress cut out from a magazine for about a year before I got engaged and I just got a feeling every time I looked at it. I made sure I tried on a bunch of dresses first but as soon as I tried on my dress I just knew...I really almost cried. I love it so much!

I definitely did not have a picture of my dress in my mind before I found it. I had no idea what I wanted when I walked into the store. I knew it was the one because I tried it on and I absolutely did not want to take it off. We were at the Wedding Salon and Mary, the lady helping me, told me to go next door to Vera Wang and try some gowns on there, then come back and see if I am still in love with my dress. I did that, came back and put my dress back on and I think I stayed in it for an hour!!!!!!

i still dont know if my dress is the 'one' - to be honest there are so many gorgeous wedding gowns out there - i think that if i kept trying on more i could have found something else i liked just as much or better - but i wanted to stick within a certain budget and my dress happened to be less than what i was willing to spend - so i figured i found something i really like that isnt that expensive i might as well go for it - there are times ive doubted it but when i put it on i love it....im hoping the alterations make it fit perfect - thats the part im most nervous about!

totally agree! I don't think there is a 'one' dress for me. There are tons of amazing gowns out there that I would love to wear but i found one that fits my personality and my budget so that was it. (well, after i decided i didnt like my first gown but thats an entirely different story...thank goodness they were able to change the order!)
