I didn't negotiate price, but I negotiated extras. I started at the first tour asking if the chair covers were included, and he said that they could throw them in. So When we went back to book we told them what our #2 venue was offering and they said they could do that and a few extras. HTH!
This is what we did as well. We had cappucino/espresso bar with cordial thrown in, and we totally customized the menu.
We basically did the same negotiating with all of our vendors!!

I agree to this!! This usually worked and if the venue doesn't honor this - then I wouldn't book with them!
i wouldnt say that this is a reason not to book with them, because they are not willing to avoid you paying tax??

My reason for not booking with someone to break tax cuts is because many vendors rather work with all cash, and can work without charging tax. So I rather use my money wisely with someone can work with us with tax cuts.
