dh and i are starting to look into buying a condo or co-op in manhattan but we have no idea how to go about picking a realtor/broker whatever... do you just pick one at random? does anyone have any recommendations? thanks!

I looked up all the houses I liked and called the listing agent. Then I let them look around for me and went with whoever found the houses. Then when I find one I will go with that person.

I know a real estate agent in NYC. She only works in the Washington Heights/Inwood area, but if you want FM me and I will give you her info. We were going to use her, but found our coop listed online and called that agent to arrange a showing.
