How do you pick colors for bedding/bath if you dont have a place to live yet?
I havent registered for bedding or bath stuff yet because we dont have a place to live yet. My family has been asking me what colors I will choose. How am I supposed to know! Doesnt it have to match the color of the room?

Thats why I didnt register for that stuff! Well I knew I wanted a neutral colored bathroom so we got a lot of beige towels. Maybe you can get gift certificates?

go neutral! We picked white/champagne colored and DH really wanted blue, so I let him. The blue is in our guest bathroom while our bathroom is sage green and lavendar

I agree - go with neutral colors - ivory, white, etc.

I'd go neutral (tan, cream, white) for the bathroom because there might be tiles so you can't change the color of the bathroom to match your towels.
But for the bedroom, just pick something you like and you can paint the bedroom to match.

We just picked neutral bedding. It's kind of tapue with a slight khakai green. I figure we will decorate around that.
For the bathroom, we got green that matches the shower curtain we have now, and taupe.( actually it's called reindeer!) I am kinda regrettign the green though, because we are movign sooner than expected & I think I am over that shower curtain & want to do a vintage look in my bathroom. But not all of the towels need to be on display.
I didn't register for any bathroom accessories or stuff because we have soem now & I ans't sure what I waould want in the future when we buy a co-op or something.
You could always just register for a down comforter & get a duvet cover later.

depends on if you're moving into a house or an apartment. Most apartment places (especially in someone's home) wont let you paint the walls but in those cases the walls are pretty nuetral. I've had issues with bathrooms though. I would wait until close to the bridal shower before I started picking things because they get discontinued easily.

I registered for Beige towels and stainless steel accessories so that it'll match wherever we end up. I did that for sheets too. I registered for a duvet and all that otehr stuff becasue I figure most apartments have walls painted white anyway.

I was wondering the same thing. We haven't registered for anything along those lines yet, but going with neutrals seems like the easiest way.

Go neutral...better to have something than nothing!

We picked colors before we actually painted, so whatever didnt match we just brought back and exchanged
ETS- I think you should just go ahead and register for whatever you like. You can always work the room around it and use it as your inspiration, or you could just exchange for something that works better.

That drove me crazy too! I chose colors and patterns that I liked and will paint if I have to. You can always exchange things if this doesn't work out!
