How do you plan to break the news to your parents???
Does anyone have any cute, quirky or funny ideas that you will do to break the news to the soon to be grandparents when it's time???

I found out i was PG on my mom's birthday so i got her a figurean of a grandma and her grandchild and wrote in the card love your soon to be grandchild. I gave my both sets of parents the book 'The joy of being Grand' it's a book about being grandparents and they both loved it.

I was also thinking about giving them a card (when I get PG). A card that says something like 'To Grandpa' or something like that.
My Mom is in Viriginia so I would probably call her on the phone.
his parents - eh, they'll find out when I have the baby.

My dad we gave the book that Billy Crystal wrote for his grandchild before she(?) was born. And DH's parents we gave a grandmother to be ornament and a pack n play, with a poem I wrote ( it was christmas when we told them)

I gave my parents a picture frame that said 'Grandma and Grandpa's little ray of sunshine'. It was my dad's birthday and I put a piece of paper inside the frame that said, 'Happy Birthday Grandpa...see you in 9 months!'.
They loved it.

We had our moms over for DHs birthday dinner. It was right after Christmas so I told them I had found a 'deal' on a post Christmas sale and bought something for both of them. I wrapped a bib for each of them that said -I love Grandma- in CHristmas wrapping paper and gave it to them....they were soooo surprised.
For the rest of my family (brothers and dad are in different states) as well as my cousins (who I am very close to) we sent out a slide show on email. First it had a picture of DH on the floor (passed out), next there was a picture of me with a shocked look on my face, next was a picture of the HPG saying positive, next was something saying - We're having a baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and last there was a picture of the first ultrasound. Everyone loved it!!!!

After opening all the gifts on Xmas, DH & I gave an 'extra' gift in an envelope, and had everyone open it at the same time. In the envelopes were everyone's Xmas cards, including a sonogram picture inside.
I died laughing when my mom was the last to know because she was still looking for the $$$ inside!
ETA: Don't know how I will break the news now though. After going thru a traumatic experience, I might want to hold out until the baby is born!

I will prob slip the sono pic into an envelope of pictures....we always are taking pics and bringing them over to look at.
