Since we've been talking about praying a lot lately, I'm curious to know how all of you pray. I find it fascinating that although there are so many different religions and sects, prayer rituals are often very similar across these sects.
Do you go to Church or Temple regulary? Do you pray at home at a particular time each day? Do you talk to God and wait for answers? Do say specific prayers? Are they ones that you've said since you were a child? Do you meditate? Do you pray to loved ones that have passed?

I am being confirmed a Catholic on Holy Saturday (April 19) but was raised an Episcopalian, which is a Protestant denomination that is sometimes called 'Diet Catholic' or 'Catholic Lite.'
I find that my praying has become much more intensive since I've been involved in the confirmation process. To answer your question: I pray at all different times...at Mass, on the bus, on the subway, lying in bed, flying on planes (that's a big one), when I'm scared.
I pray for the safety of loved ones, for the mental health and well-being of loved ones, for the troops, for the world, for the President, for my fears, to keep me safe... And yes, I pray to my dad (he died in 1999) all the time.

EVERY morning and as needed to God
I just talk :) and when I got to church I pray as well mostly I pray in my house or my car

I pray at all different times of the day when i need strength or if i need to pray for a paticular person Prayer calms my nerves

Mostly before I go to bed, but also whenever I need to. Unfortunately, I don't go to church as often as i would like to.

I pray at night before I go to sleep - I don't kneel or anything like that though. I am not a temple goer, but have a strong faith in a stronger power.

I pray mostly in the morning, but I talk to God all the time. I have conversation with him. Sometimes when something come over me to pray for someone or a situation. The good thing about praying is you do not need any appt or any form or fashion. Praying gives comfort. I attend a Pentecostal Church, but I was raised in a Baptist church. I pray a lot on the subway in the morning. Sometimes when I get up early, I get on my knees by my bed and just start talking to the Lord. I feel like testifying. Great question Nina.
