How do you tell a friend that you and DH

How do you tell a friend that you and DH

have no interest in going to her 'come watch my wedding video party?' DH is totally against it, I don't mind it as long as we can fast foward through some parts..I made excuses twice but she keeps on asking

go alone?
I only showed mine to people who asked to see it. And I fast fwded thru parts of it.

I was thinking I should go alone..but she wants me there on a sunday..and sunday night is the only time DH and I are together. Believe me, if someone asks to see mine, in 2 minutes flat it is on and I am making popcorn...I did not even know this girl when she got married..I am not going to know anyone in the video..she is just a show offy type

Is there going to be a big group? If so, I'd suck it up and go, figuring the rest of the crowd isn't going to be that into the video either and you'll end up all talking and having fun...

Don't you have the solo performance now - I thought I remember you guys left the party early and now she wants to give you a private showing - was that you?

I would keep making excuses. I don't want to offend anyone, but I really don't like watching wedding videos, which is why I didn't get one myself. Put her off until she figures it out.

that was me!!! after a blockparty, DH and I were drinking so we were going to take a cab home..all I wanted was to use her phone and she put the video on when everyone was gone..DH thought she was kidding..we left and she said she will keep video in same place for when we come back!! She just emailed me today about getting together

I think I would just say what you told us. That Sunday night is the only night you 2 get to see each other. Then if she persists and wants you to come alone on another night, ask if you can bring your collection of Dukes of Hazzard DVDs to watch right afterwards
