Just a question because I have had nothing but great experiences so far! I have booked my venue, band, and photography and purchased my dress. After meeting every vendor I go for the customary hand shake...but NO these vendors all want hugs and kisses!! I am ok with this but find it odd that I feel like part of the family after leaving. Have you all had the same experience?

good question....
Photographer- the girl gave me her email & said ask me anything you want. Which i did right away & she answered me back right away.
Limo- the woman had kids that graduated the same school at the same time as my sister so we chatted about where we lived & stuff
DJ- not so much but very nice
RH- Nadine is so friendly & very nice
Photobooth- he friend requested me on fb
so yes they have been very nice to me so far too

So far all my vendors have been absolutely wonderful but no hugs and kisses just handshakes

Some vendors have been friendlier than others, but no hugs/kisses as of yet. Seems a little unprofessional...I feel like after working with them and post-wedding you may develop that kind of relationship but not when you are agreeing to a contract.
If it doesn't bother you, though, I guess it doesn't matter.

I have gotten hugs and kisses from all my vendors minus the limo. Two of them have sent me facebook requests.

Hugs and kisses. WOW We got hugs and champain from our venue BM! LOL The wedding planner was also friendly and nice. The limo, is this just me or are the limo people kind of cold??? We havent booked the limo, but they were kind of cold and distant!

agreed!! no hugs and kisses, but def love them and was treated with respect.. i wouldn't be giving them my money if i didnt like them and wasn't felt like they cared.

everyone that i have come into contact with gave me a hug and a kiss except for Gil from Fade to Black because he was a guy but everyone else gave me hugs and kisses.

Loula from Sand Castle and Rev Deb are very lovey dovey but Phil from After Hours and Tom from Thomas Paul are handshakers... which is fine by me! They are all so nice though!

my Florist 'simply stems' is like a aunt or grandma - really sweet comfortable, kisses on the cheeks
Christine my Doc 'piece of cake events' has been like a girlfriend, we joke and share horror stories and we are just friendly with hugs and kisses good by.
my limo driver (camelot) ... he gave us an decent rate- he seemed rushed , when we booked.firm handshakes and then we were out the door... not out most happy vendor experiences, everyone spoke volumes of him, so I'm hoping it really does an amazing job
Variety Music was more friendly. You walk in unsure, and walk out confident that your in very very capable hands. they look you directly in the eye and pick up on almost all your verbal cues.they give a pleasant handshake... you feel like that genuinely are happy to be working your party .

All of my vendors were very friendly, but I was only hugged and kissed by my DJ because we have met them a bunch of times at other weddings.

You should go check out Rob from Lancelot Limos...no hug and kiss, but absolutely wonderful and warm and accommodating. He's offered his experience in the industry if we need help with anything else, and even called a connection on the spot when he heard we needed chair covers!! Tell him Greg and Samantha sent you :)

I really haven't booked vendors yet....except for my RH...but Dina and I always give each other a hello kiss when we see each other.
I had one RH BM (which will remain nameless), that was rude! Needless to say, we did not return to that RH.

TOTALLY AGREE!!! We just booked with Rob on Sunday. We loved him from the first phone call but met with some other vendors as well. He was so down to earth and just a NICE GUY. Went with him over another highly recommended vendor because he felt warmer to us
