how does a church do this?

ok so here's the history, i live in florida and put in an application for st brigid's church for sept. 13th, 2007 (we signed a contract with our RH first because we didnt want that to get booked, plus if we cant have it there, we have other options, meaning the church) i sent it in about 3 weeks ago, i called a bunch of times and they never gave me a straight answer. they said 'oh the deacon will call or write you a letter 5-10 days after we get the application) its been 3 weeks now! they called me and left me a message and said 'oh the deacon has gotten the application (duh they told me that a week and a half ago!) and he has a few christenings this week so hopefully he'll give you a call this weekend' um at this point, im so fed up, i dont even want it there. i know its a church and im supposed to act all sacred and stuff, but f this. this is just inconsiderate! they're holding off my planning for this. i'm just at the point of looking somewhere else.. but i dont know where else to have it. i dont want it at the RH. i was thinking maybe the beach but im afraid, what if it rains.. or what beach am i going to be able to have it. uggh i hate wedding planning

Are you getting married at the Riviera in Massapequa? What about St.Rose of Lima? Its a gorgeous church and it has the longest aisle on LI.
