How does Etsy work?

I feel like an idiot... so I have two people right basically doing the same thing for me... I explained to them what I was looking for and now they are asking me if I want them to post a custom listing, I don't even know what that means... I just want them both to come up with samples and then I can pick the one I like the best... should I let them know that I have another person making samples for me? Or just let them do their thing and whoever I don't like I just ignore them forever because I hate rejecting people and now this isn't a big company it's one person who takes crazy pride in their work...

HOW DOES THIS WHOLE THING WORK????

This will be the thing that pushes me over the wedding planning edge... not my awful FMIL and her ridiculous demands and suggestions, not my TERRIBLE FBIL who keeps saying he's going to have an Elvis impersonating ape show up at the wedding and take out a toaster when it's time for him to 'make his toast'... it will be MY INVITATIONS!!!!!

They probably mean a reserved listing. That means that only you can purchase it. A custom listing means you post a listing for what you want and then the designers bid on your listing, then you select who you like.

Its up to you if you tell them you are working with other people as well.
