How does everyone feel about plastic surgey?

How does everyone feel about plastic surgey?

So... I have been really down in the dumps lately and have been thinking about lipo... I had a few consultations with Dr's.

I am curious how does everyone feel? Do you think its worth the money?

I think it really depends. I'm not against it and would have it in the right situation. Lipo is great for the problem spot but it isnt a fix all. i know plenty of people who have had it.....some very happy and some thought it was going to be a miracle fix

I used to be all about a boob job, but my outlook has definitely changed in recent years. First off, i hate unnecessary medical intervention. I just don't see the point in jeopardizing your health (whether it be during surgery or down the line)! I also think it's impt to have self confidence and be OK with yourself, and try to do things naturally. IMO, it's an easy way out, and not a solution to the actual problem. It's also a HUGE expense, and i'd rather be traveling or fixing up my house, or anything else really.

I'm sure that's not the answer you were looking for, but that's how i feel!

I want bigger hooters. Since I lost about 40 pounds they are a B and I want C's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But honestly, I am chicken. I really am. I can't imagine putting something foreign in my body for the sake of vainity.

I know that smart lipo is safer than regular lipo and you are awake for the procedure. It takes a while but it's less risky.

if its changing a body part that really, truly makes you look at yourself in a negative way day after day, then i would do it... would it be nice to have bigger boobs? sure... but ive learned to be content with what i have... victoria is my hero LOL

my mom always had very big bags under her eyes... its something that always bothered her... she finally deicded to get them fixed about 3 yrs ago... it made her so happy that im glad she took the plunge and went for it...

I am not a fan of plastic surgery unless for medical reasons (as in, be happy with your nose unless you have breathing problems or you were in a cash crash or something).

if its something you want and can afford i dont see any reason not to do something that will make you happy....

i have wanted breast implants for awhile but im kind of wishy washy about it - so that is the reason i haven't actually gotten them - i think i have nice boobs i just wish they were a little bigger - so to me im not sure if its worth it to do, because i don't really want anything to change about them - just the size - and im not sure id be more happy with implants - but if i hated everything about my boobs then it would make the decision a lot easier KWIM? so that is why i won't have them done b/c im not 100% sure that is what i want....but if it was something i knew i wanted for sure then i would def do it......i have a feeling i will hate my boobs after kids and will eventually get them

same thing with botox and other wrinkle fillers - some people look BAD but other people have it done and nobody even notices and they look great....so that is something i would consider in the future as well.....

i dont think there is anything wrong with wanting to look good....you just have to really think about it b/c any medical procedure can be dangerous.....

Re: How does everyone feel about plastic surgey?

My cousin had a nose job and boob implants.

I had a friend who did lipo - to be perfectly honest.. I didn't see or notice any difference (no one did). But if it made her feel better or happier.. then so be it. I was certainly not going to tell her she looked the same.

And an old friend of mine had her nose and boobs done.

OH MY GOSH And I just realized one of my BM sisters had her boobs done.. and they BOTCHED It! I completely forgot about that. I will spare you the details.. unless you want to hear about them.. but that was BADDDDDDDDDD!

Personally.. I think it can be dangerous and rather expensive. I think some people tend to become addicted to it; all in the hopes of thinking it will cure some inner feelings of depression or whatever and when it doesn't they go back and do more and more and more stuff. So I am not against what they do.. more fearful for those people.

I think its a matter of 'To each their own'... if its something that would really make you feel better then its worth it to you... and you should go for it. I think you need to be able to keep everything in perspective and not let it get out of hand. Also, always make sure you are going to the best doctors.. sometimes people try to do the 'less expensive' ways.. and that can be so dangerous.. even deadly. People do die from going into 'routing surgeries'. So be very careful. Really think about the decision. And be mindful of the doctor you go to.. along with the amount of money it's costing. I think my friend paid $10,000 for her lipo.. she did stomach, thighs, and neck/chin. There could have been other areas but I don't remember.

I can't say that I will NEVER have plastic surgery.. but I don't see myself having it done. If I were to do anything it would be to suck the fat out too though! Ha ha ha! Or maybe I'll save my possibility of a surgery for after we have lil fockers.... I may want a tummy tuck or something. Who knows.

Oh and BTW - the friend who had the lip.. she had to lose at least 10 lbs before the surgery. She had to eat right before and afterwards.. so it's not like it's going to be an easy way out.

Edited - I remembered what happened to BM sister.

I am the only person in my family with their original nose! I think that plastic surgery is a personal decision. If you want it and can afford it, go for it! Just be sure you get a qualified, talented surgeon.

i dont think there anything wrong with it.... as long as someone doesnt go overboard... the only thing with lipo is that i would think that it wouldnt be too worth it until your done having kids.... dont know if that makes a difference but its just what i would assume

personally, i'm against it unless it's for medical reasons. with that said, i'm really considering getting a breast reduction after i have kids. my back bothers me at times cause of my breast and i don't want to have major problems later on. but kids are still 3-4 years in the future so we'll see what happens. to each their own.
