Besides the obvious of getting married soon... I need some kind of other change...
My FH sort of expects me to still work but I just cannot come here another day...
How do people make the big jump? What can I make the jump into? HELP

Re: How does one create an opportunity?
figure out what you're passionate about and wouldn't mind doing all day everyday. then find a job in that field or start a business. that would be the easy answer

Re: How does one create an opportunity?
Ask people that you know if there are any positions in their job atmosphere...you never know what can come out of something you have never done. and don't be afraid to start small. if you want to be a teacher, start as a teachers assistant and go back to school. if you want to manage a restaurant start off waitressing. i should take my own advice, which is basically, make it happen!!!

Start sending out your resume to everyone..even places that you think may not hire you due to lack of experience..you never know...ask around, sometimes someone knows something or someone that could hook you up! Good luck!!!

I agree. Just go for it. Keep at it and keep at it! Headhunters are helpful but don't depend on them. Good Luck!!

being negative about it isn't going to help any.. start by changing your attitude and thinking and saying ONLY positive things.

Try temping. That way you are still earning $$ but get to check out a variety of fields.
