I was just washing out a vase. I filled it up in the sink with water and some suds and then carefully washed it. Then I notice a piece of glass on the bottom of the sink. It came from the bottom of the vase. But I didn't drop it or bang it on anything. I don't get it. Its not the first time.

Maybe there was a small crack and the water pressure forces it to break a little?

Its just very strange. It had flowers and water in it for days. I just threw out the old flowers and filled it with some fresh water and soap. I washed it and it was broken.

was there an extreme change in temperture of the glass? that will sometimes cause glass to break.
