how early did you hear a heartbeat?

My first ultasound is the 6th and I'm so nervous it will be too early?

You will see the heartbeat. You cant hear it that early. Heck, you may even be a little too early to see the heartbeat. It can be seen between 6-7 weeks. You can hear the HB generally after 8 but thats pushing it... I heard this one at 10 and Emma at 12 (Emmas was heard at the docs office).

ETA: Sorry I thought it said you were 6 weeks. Im going to leave what I wrote up there though for reference

How far along are you? They are estimating me @ 5.6 weeks and there is nothing yet. I may be having problems, but go around 7 weeks imo

I am about 5.1 weeks right now. I'm anxious to go on the 6th because it will be my first time meeting my OBGYN. My Family Care Doctor confirmed the pregnancy for my insurance but didn't do anything else except tell me I can only use Tylenol and Tums. So needless to say I am very interested in speaking with a real OBGYN. I haven't seen a true Gyno since I got married since the militaryinsurance doesn't allow you to go.
I am just worried that if I go to early I will freak myself out if I don't see anything. Should I maybe try to reschedule for early the following week?
I had a chemical two cycles ago then a real short 2 day period and then this.
The nurse at my OBGYN's office said he meets patients between 6-8 weeks and does the first ultrasound.

Karen, thanks for your input. I was wondering if I should put see or hear!

I just went at about 6.5 weeks and there was a heartbeat.

I saw the heartbeat around 7 weeks. Heard it around 11 or 12.

I heard the heartbeat at 6wks and 1day. Heartbeats are meant to be heard not seen. Goodluck!

I saw the heartbeat at 6 weeks and 2 days and heard the heartbeat on Thursday (12 weeks and 3 days).

I didn't hear the HB until 12 weeks. They tried at 9 but couldn't find anything.

I finally heard the heartbeat at 20 weeks...every time I went they could not hear it and I am not heavy... so I would have to go for a sono everytime. I saw the heartbeat for the first time at 8 weeks

I saw and heard the heartbeat at 7 weeks. I am thin so they say that helps for hearing it... I think it's usually like 10 weeks...I think you may be a bit too early for the heartbeat but let us know how it goes!
