OKay..this post is in lieu of seeing that TWO of my fellow february brides have mailed out their invites. I really wasn't thinking of sending them until next month some time. Am I supposed to be doing this already? I am a bad bad bride!!!!!!

My wedding is 1/8 and we sent out the invitations on 10/31. Our RSVP date is 12/8. Hope this helps.

I think some February brides sent theirs out early to try to miss the Holiday post office rush.

I think rule is around 6-8 weeks.

actually 6 weeks is too late. I say 8-12 weeks is standard.
We are sending ours the first week in dec. for our 3/4/06 wedding

OUT: January 15th RSVP IN (hopefully): February 25th Wedding (hopefully - j/k): March 25th
So, about 10 weeks before and giving them 6 weeks to send it back in with 4 weeks as a buffer.
Plus, we'll be over the 'holiday' cards and into the new 'postage' rate so it'll create less confusion for me.

Our RSVP date is one month in advance, which is March 30; We're planning on sending them out the second week in February.

We definitely did not want our invites to get lost with holiday mail.

okay so I think mailing them out 12/3 is plenty of time for a 1/20 RSVP date and a 2/17 wedding...Thanks for all the responses
Now on to the stamp debate, LOL I am stuck right in the midst of it, I think I will just stick to the 37 center!

I *think* we'll do this: Mail: April 24 RSVP: June 1 Wedding: June 24
So mailing 8 weeks prior.

U are fine trust me. Sent out your inviations by December 1st. Request the RSVP by Feb. 1st. This is enough time to do the seating chart etc.
This is what I am doing
Send OUt: March 3rd RSVP by: May 5th Wedding: May 29th

Mine are going out early next week RSVP is 12/21 Wedding is 1/21
I sent out STDs a while ago - in the beginning of the summer. How sad that I have forgotten the date I sent them - too much going on in my head right now!

I am one of those february brides. i'm getting married 2/18 and my invites went out YESTERDAY!! (yeah )
I was thinking about the holiday rush and I have a very early rsvp date (12/20). We guaranteed a high number and I figure if we're short we can invite some 'b-listers' in a tasteful timeframe.
Otherwise I would have waited until next month. I think you're ok...

Mailing: January 2nd RSVP: February 17th Wedding: March 31st!
Mailling the invites out 12 weeks prior to wedding & RSVP are due 6 weeks prior! Leaving myself 5 weeks buffer zone for the lazy ones!1
