Hi Girls, We are getting married on 4/23/05 so we have a bit to go. However, I want to start looking at vendors soon (part. photo/video and florists) but am unsure if it is too early. I'm thinking maybe we can secure 2003/2004 rates. Does this make sense??? As always, thanks for all of your inputs

I had booked all of my vendors for my 02/04 wedding by July of 2002. It's never too early, just make sure teh vendors you book are really the ones you want. I look back and after reading some one the posts, I wonder if I made teh right decisions. However, I definately got teh bets prices!!!!

Thats what I did. You can try. Some of them may not see you yet because it is early. I tried to look at florists over a year in advance and they told me it was too early. But it is worth the try to see if you can look now and get the rates for this year!!! Good Luck!!!
And don't be discouraged by people that look at you as if you have six heads because you want to book so early. I got a lot of that when looking. I got a lot of, Wow you have plenty of time or why so early. They seem to think you have endless funds and don't need time to save!!!

I agree with you alias, some people's comments on here really make you second guess, but I know I got the best rates and I am happy with everyone I booked!! Each persons experience is different with a particular vendor.

I think its good to start now. My wedding is 5/2005 and I am trying to book now as well, for the same reason you mentioned, to secure 2003 prices. Also, if I want to book someone really popular, because I am early it'll give me more of a chance to get them.
