How early should RSVP cards be dated for?

I was thinking 4 weeks before our wedding date. Is that too early?

I am doing 5 weeks before the wedding. Most people never send them in on time. Give yourself enough time to get them in and tell your reception hall.

HTH!

A lot of my guests were OOT (including me!) so we did 7 weeks.

Wedding was June 18. RSVP was May 1. Mailed invites in April We had guests coming all the way from Texas, Florida, Maine and FINLAND so I wanted to make sure they had time to make reservations.

Gotcha! I was just trying to figure out how much time to leave between mailing and the RSVP date. Guess a lot depends on how far the invites and RSVPs have to travel!
