My wedding is next October and I just read a thread about a make-up artist already being booked for next October. I definitely want to have my make-up done. How early should I book someone?? That seriously was the furthest thing from my mind and I thought I had PLENTY of time.

I would book ASAP, the good ones fill up fast!!! After my reception, makeup was teh first thing I booked. I went with Jacqquleine Nicole.

I have my makeup trial on Tuesday and my wedding isn't until March. I wanted to book early for the same reasons - they all seem to book up pretty quickly. I may go for a second trial as the wedding date gets closer.
I'm getting my hair done in a salon so I'm not too worried about booking that so far in advance (besides, most salons won't book you too far in advance - my friend had that experience when she went to block off time for her wedding)

Make up was one of the first things I booked. I was very surprised at how fast they book up. I am going with JN.

I wanted to use Jacqueline Nicole for my make-up so I went for a trial and booked her in April I think. I am getting married in June '04. It can't hurt to call a few and see if they can hold your date for a trial!

I had my makeup trail in July and booked Denise from Angel Eyes on the spot for my Sept 2004 wedding.

Book ASAP!!! I called Jenn from Fairytale for my May 2004 wedding and she was booked BUT I got Jillian from Gorgeous Faces and I am sooo happy that I did She is great!!!!

Denise from Angel Eyes gives a free trail if you book her on the spot. If not, than the trail is $25.

My wedding was August 2002, I contacted wedding make-up artists in April 2002 and May 2002. When I was happy with what I got I reserved and make a deposit in May 2002. Good make-up artists book fast like reception venues. I say book it ASAP.
