How exactly do you clean your litter box??

Just curious what others do. I know not to use bleach or anything harsh, no Lysol or anything like that. I was mine once a month. I either thake it out back and hose it down with dish soap or soak it in the shower with really hot water and dish soap.

Anyone use the liners? Personally, they annoy me.

i used to cat sit. before they got the clumping stuff, every other day, i would dump out everything into a bag, take the box to the tub and wash it out with lysol, actually. then they got the clumping stuff and that turned the actually dumping into every two weeks to even a month. i would just dump the clumps and refill every day. whole lot easier!

cocoa. let them know the clumping litter is unhealthy for the cats b/c it gets in bwteen their claws or 'fingers' and then when they clean themselves they digest the litter and its not god for them. i used to have my cats on a clumping litter and then was advised not to. i never wouldve thought of that!

we scoop it regualary and then when its time to change it we dump it all into a garbage bag and windx the box. then fill it back up again.

Yeah I use litter bags and when I wash it I use HOT water and dishwashing soap and scrub with brush. That does the job.

The litter bags are a little annoying especially since sometimes Piggy scratches through them but overall makes removing the litter much easier.
