I'd say the space I'd like to get painted is about 1000 square feet. How much do you think that would cost?

is it just a room? or separate rooms? what shape is the ceiling in? Is there spackling needed? Does moulding need to be painted?

It's 2 rooms and a 2 hallways... ok it must be more than 1000 square feet! We just painted 2 years ago but want to change color. The walls are in great shape - nothing would be needed. We would want the mouldings painted. It's straight up painting!!

My guy is very cheap and does a great job. He owed my dad a favor but to take down all (in every room) sand, repair and paint and prime the walls in our house we paid $2300. Our house is a good size. Oh and that included the paint (all benjamin moore except the color in the dining room.) And it only took 3 days.
My brother did 3 rooms a hall way and up the stairs and I think he paid like a thousand bucks (paint included)
