Besides OOT guest...how far is everyone else to your wedding ceremony/reception??? Just curious...

well, on average, they are 2.5 hours away from us.... quite a distance for them to travel for an 11am ceremony!

interesting question. Our wedding was in NYC. About 1/3 of the guests were from the tri state area. Everyone else was from all over the place. Wisconsin, Seattle, California, Massachusetts, Philly. We even had someone come all the way from Viet Nam. It was quite an honor.

My family and friends all live on long island or in the city so approximately 40 minutes away max.
Almost all of FH's family and friends live OOT. Anywhere from 90 minutes to 5-6 hours.

Our wedding is in Brooklyn and most of our guests won't have to travel too far...if they are not already in Brooklyn, they will be coming from Connecticut and Jersey-about 2 hours...we are however, having guest from Arizona, Pennsylvania, Florida and FFIL who is coming in from Chile!

We picked a location that was sort of in the middle (Nassau) because we have people traveling from Port Jefferson and from New Jersey .... BUT we are doing a wedding weekend, so most people will probably be staying at the hotel the whole weekend anyway.
ETA: our OOT guests are travling from California, Chicago, Pennsylvania, Boston, Maine, Maryland, Virginia and Florida

For the guests living in NY they are are about 30-45 min away.

30 minutes to the church (which I think most ppl will skip) & then 30 min from church to RH. I think most ppl will just come to the reception.

Since our RH is in Queens, most of our guests will only travel about 30 to 45 minutes.....I have some though that are coming from upstate and it might take them up to 3 hours.....and then of course the farthest OOTer's- my cousins from Finland!! That's a 9 hour flight! But at least they're staying w/ us for 2 weeks, so they should definitely be over their jetlag by then!!

yikes, ours are all basically OOT! closest is white plains, NY!
FH's fam is all in AK, CA, and some down south. Mine are all in tristate area.

5-10 minutes. We are locals and booked a local RH. It's about 5 min. from his home town and about 10 from mine. Some of my family is in CT or upstate, but 80% of our guests are from the area!

yeah, it definitely is great....
I must say, though.... both of our families are about 2.5 hours away, so on holidays, guess who's always driving around the world? yep, it's ALWAYS us. Seldom does his family ever visit port jeff.... MY family is even worse... except for my mom, they've NEVER COME HERE
that's why the wedding is here... we're forcing everyone to visit us at least ONCE

For us it's around 1.5 to 2 hours. We're getting married pretty far out on the Island, and we live and work in Westchester, so friends from here, and friends from Connecticut are driving in.
Our OOT guests are from the south, midwest, and one from Belgium!

Except for the people coming from out of town (about 15-20 people are coming from mississippi, pennsylvania, and florida), mostly everyone else is local... within 45 minutes of the church and hall.
