How far along in your preg. did you tell people you were preggo??

I was wondering how long everyone waits to say they are preggo??

I told my best friend about 30 minutes after I took the test, told my mom a few days later and we are STILL waiting to tell the rest of the family. We are planning to do it on Chrstmas and I will be 13 weeks by then. This is the longest I've kept a secret in my life - it is SOOOO hard!!!

My sister knew the moment my test came back positive. We told my parents and my husabands parents as soon as the blood test came back positive. Close friends we told pretty much right away. I had to tell my work at about 2 months, since it is a small office and I was leaving alot for doctors appointments in the beginning.

We told our families immediately! I told my job early on too since I work in the medical field and was unable to work with some patient's due to their diagnosis or treatment they were receiving.

I was actually able to surprise my DH with the news (still don't know what DH stands for but i figure it means my husband )

We went out to an italian restaurant and I had the waitress bring us a 'free dessert'. My DH was so excited about it being free that he wasn't paying attention to what it was. I had to make him look at it and tell me what it was...he said 'Uh...it's ice cream.....and uh...pickles'. It finally dawned on him. He was blown away. I cried like a baby and the entire wait staff that was hiding in a corner applauded. It was really fun. Oh by the way I should have figured that an italian restaurant wouldn't have pickles so they cut cucumbers into spears to look like pickles. oh well

All immediate family knows....but telling the rest at Christmas when I'll be 12 weeks...perfect timing!!!

I am just 7 weeks along and haven't told many people because I think it's too early. DH knows and 2 friends at work know. We're going to tell our families on Christmas after we visit my doctor for the first time next Thursday.

I told LIW ladies first, then e-mailed the pics of the home test to my sister at work and called DH at work since I was home sick with a bad cold. We told our parents and siblings that weekend, and friends about 2 weeks later.
