I'm thinking of switching to a new one but I was wondering how far you would be willing to travel for a dr that is highly recommended.

I travel from Patchogue to Plainview to go to my RE. When I start my IVF cycle I will have to travel there just about every other day to be monitored.

My mom wanted me to go to one in Manhattan, but I thought it would be just too much traveling and stress.

Mine is in Garden City, and even when we lived in Selden I traveld to see him. Once you find someone you like it's worth the traveling I think.

Mine is in Southampton and I am in Riverhead. They are about 25 minutes away.

Thanks. The one someone is referring me to is a little out of the way so I wanted to see if everyone else is willing to travel for a good dr.

Luckily my OB-GYN is the next town over from me, but if she moved anywhere I would follow her

if you are not PG...I don't think that its that big of a deal...but when you do become PG...and towards the end you have to see them every 2 weeks...to every week...that can get a little hairy...

but a good GYN that you are comfortable means a lot...

mine is in Massapequa btw...if you are looking

I still use my old OB/GYN - so since I moved I have to travel almost an hour (during rush hour) to see him. But for me it is well worth the trip for the peace of mind.

I go to a MW that has 3 locatioins, but her main one is in Hungtington (with traffic, sometimes an hour from me, otherwise 40 minutes). She has some office hours in Bayside, and if her schedule fits mine, I will continue to see her after I deliver. If not, I will have to find someone new.

I live in St. James and travel to Garden City ~ about a 45 minute trip. My doctor is well worth the travel time.

Luckily he is 2 towns over. I have been seeing him since I was 18. If he moved and had his practice somewhere else, I would follow him.

I travel about 35 minutes for my midwife. That is fine with me. i would travel 45 minutes or longer if I had too.

Im originally from bklyn and did not want to change my drs when I moved to Long beach.
so i traveled into brooklyn when we found out I was pregnant. The officies are located in the marlbough section of bklyn- off of the Q line...and rob would drive after work and meet me there.

It was worth it even when I had to go every week and then every 2 days wHen J was post date

I live in Shoreham and my OB/GYN is in Bethpage. It is 45 mins to an hour depending on traffic. Totally worth it in my opinion
