two of my best friends live in the city & i'm in nj. not too far at all, but we still don't see each other enough.
my other best friend lives in chicago. its terrible. but we talk for many hours every week on the phone!

I live in Chicago while my BF since childhood lives 10 mins away from my parents' house. My college BF lives in Memphis.
But my BF since Oct 1999 - - sleeps right next to me!!!

Two live about an hour (without traffic) from me. I'm in NJ and they are in LI. And the other two live in NYC so about 30 min away by train (but one is moving to MD! :()

One friend lives down the block (a 45 second walk ) and the other lives 10 minutes away (she used to be 5 minutes away and then she got married and moved)

If you are talking female best friend...she use to be in walking distance before I got married now 5 hours away! The other one in Florida!
