My wedding is next June....when do people usually start booking hair and makeup? Do they get 'snatched up' quickly?
They get snatched up very quickly. I would start looking.
Anyone know the pricing of ***? Seems like she does both hair and makeup...but do you think it's better to get one hair person and one makeup person so there could be two people working on me, the BMs and Mom?

I think M.I.A. does specialize in both...or so it seems bc many brides here seem to book her for both. It would seem to be time consuming to do 6 faces and 6 heads, each in succession!

she brings an assistant to help if u have a lot of people, and yes she specializes in both
for the bride its $300 for both hair and makeup
for bridesmaids/moms/ whoever else its $150 for both

I have called the girl I want and scheduled her. I knew who I wanted and didn't want her to get booked up. You have time though if you're not set on one particular girl.

She has raise her prices...now its $400 for hair and make up for the bride and 200 for everyone else.
I scheduled my hair months in advance because I knew that my normal stylist would be doing it. I didn't schedule my makeup until almost a month before the wedding - they didn't have a good time slot for makeup at my salon and had to scramble to find a new makeup artist. It all worked out in the end.
I would highly suggest booking asap. My wedding is in August and I already booked my second choice. My first choice was booked already! You dont want to risk waiting and then having to scramble to find someone at the end. Good luck!
I was going to have the girl who always does my hair she is great. I called about two months before to book it since I needed to get makeup too and I come to find out she was going to be away. When I talked to her about it (since she has known for two years about my wedding) she said she thought I was going with someone else since it was not already booked. What I am trying to say I would do it about 3-4 months before.
I booked about 2.5 months in advance.
