How far in advance??

We are about 5 months away! how far in advance should we start picking out invitations? hair trial? food tasting?

Invites:

working backwards.
You'll want to sent them 8 weeks prior (unless you have an a/b list)
You'll need about 2 weeks to address, stamp and stuff them.
They take at least 2-3 weeks to come in once their ordered.

So you want to have your order placed no later than 13 weeks before your date. (But prob. sooner in case their is a problem)

I ordered mine about 5 months before my date and that sat in my apartment.

Hair:

If you have already booked someone, you can wait until the last min (2 weeks before) if you haven't found anyone I would start doing trials ASAP -- the best people get booked early.

Food tasting:

You really need to check with your hall.
