If you want I can do them for you, but mine are fairly basic, I bought a DIY kit from Michaels that has 2 silver interlocking hearts on it. I didn't see the point of spending $300 on something most people will throw away.

I did a test run and it looks the same as any invite I've gotten for a wedding!! (Sorry I don't have a pic of the finished product yet!)

oh, thank you so much for that offer. It is so nice of you. I am going to order but i did do engagment invites and they turned out great. However, that was on a small scale. But again thanks so much.

Re: how far in advance...

i would do them myself too (im a graphic designer) but i want the raised type on the invites, so id rather just spend the couple hundred on a simple invite then have all the stress of doing them myself...

I only have maybe 75-90 to print, so I just look at it as giving myself something to do!! I did debate on having them done, but the white and silver matches my theme!

Re: how far in advance...

I bought them in late March 05 and they arrived by mid April. Spent 1,600 on 200 letter press invites, rsvp, direction cards, lined inner and outer envlopes and rsvp envelopes with tissue paper. it was $8 per invite for all letter press and that includes my calligraphy cost too.

I ordered them the second week of June, then had the calligraphy done by the third week of July and sent them out the last week of July. We put an rsvp date of Sept 19th on them. Costwise, we sent out 150 invites and they cost roughly $800 including calligraphy- about $5.50 each not including stamps.

(hope this helps).....
