...do you need to start making arrangements for the RD? It looks like FH and I are going to be footing that bill (which is totally OK, his twin sister is getting married 4 months before us... his poor parents).
I just want to know, for something like this, what kind of time line I should be looking at.

I think it depends on where you are looking to have it and if you are flexible.
My FILs just booked our RD a week ago for June 21st.

6-9 months is reasonable in my opinion.

I would start looking around for pricing and availablitly. I remember someone mentioning a while back that they were having a hard time booking a place because their top 10 was booked! Looking can't hurt!
