I almost feel silly starting this soon, but it seems like everyone starts looking so early!
Is it too soon to schedule a trial?

Re: How far in advance
I'm just going to my regular salon the day of and I was just recently there and she told me to come for a trail with my headpiece, veil etc. about 4 months before, and then to book the salon about 2 months before so they can have enough people there early to help out...

i say wait a bit on the trial your style may change you still have time on booking them.. you can book it whenever your comfortable but if your suggesting to pick someone thats popular(like Mia) you may want to book them soon because they book out quickly..

Did you start looking into hair / makeup?

I am in the same boat. My wedding is only a week before yours and i feel like I shouldnt wait much longer . I did speak to my styalist and she said usually 3 -4 months before, but i can't use her because she is in Westchester. I also think your mind may change several times so maybe it is too early. If you are looking into some of the hair/makeup artist that are more popular and talked about a lot on here...then earlier is better.

This is what I am doing. So it all depends on who you are going to. If you want someone different than who you would normally go to, or you don't have a regular girl, then start looking now. I am booking my girl in January since she doesn't have her calendar yet for 2008 but I am not concerned, she knows my date and I have been going to her for 10 years.

I will most likely be going to my regular hair salon, but I wasn't a huge fan of how the girl there does make-up. . . I guess I'll start looking for make-up now and hold off on hair

Re: How far in advance
don't feel silly. Now is a good time to start looking, the popular hair/make-up vendors get booked very quickly
