How far in advance...

How long before your wedding are you having your rehersal dinner? I don't want to have it a day or two before the wedding because I want people to enjoy themselves and I do not want anyone in the wedding coming to the wedding hung over lol!

we are having it the weekend before... since our wedding is on Friday, we are having the RD the Sat before that

We are doing it the night before. The out of towners in the BP will not be able to come in twice.

We are getting married on a Friday and our RD is Wednesday night.

I am just not sure when to have it because the week before my wedding is July 4th and I don't want to inconvenience them because of the holiday... I guess I will have to do it before or after July 4th weekend...

i'm doing it fri because of OOT - but we're not serving alcohol so ppl are less inclined to drink out of their own pocket

I agree with this. You know your BP and family, but it is hard for people to commit 2 weekends for your wedding.

We got married on Sunday and had the dinner Friday night. Check with your ceremony location. We had to do it on Friday, b/c that is when the church does it.
