I was asked to be a reader at a wedding and I was asked a month before...I haven't asked my girls yet.
I haven't picked mine yet and I'm in May. I have an appt with an officiant a the end of the month. I just plan on saying, 'I was wondering if you'd be a reader' kinda thing.
i made special cards on vista..kinda like the 'would u b bridesmaid' card...it has a little rhyming poem. im going to send it to them w a special note after the holidays
I asked FH's 14 year old cousin at my bridal shower, which was about 2 1/2 months before my wedding. To be completely honest though, we had only decided it a few weeks before. Otherwise, we probably would have asked earlier. I just pulled her to the side and asked if she was interested in reading a selection during the ceremony and she was really happy and said yes. She's very close to FH so she was excited but we didn't ask her to be part of the BP because we had wanted it to be small and we decided on the BP early on.
I asked FH's sisters to be the readers recently. I wanted them to know they were going to be an important part of our day, sooner than later.
