I think 8 months. All of the STDs I've received have been 6 months before, but because I'm getting married on a holiday weekend I'm doing it at 8.

No, I'm toying with the idea of making my own, but we'll see. Because half of our guests are coming in from out of town, I wanted to send a newsletter type thing along with the STD giving hotel info, rental car info, things to do, etc.
If making my own doesn't work out, I'll start looking this fall sometime.

We are going to send them in batches. I am going to send the ones for OOT (most of our family) in May (11 months), but I am going to hold co-worked STDs until September. I don't want to invite someone who might not be working with me. (Our school is hard to staff and several teachers leave each summer.)

I'm going to send mine 9-10 months in advance. My wedding is Spring Break for some people and I don't want them to make other plans.

I sent mine out 9 months in advance as it is a holiday weekend!! By the way - I am getting married at the Swan Club too

I will be sending mine out at the 1 year mark which is 3 weeks... I just have to finish addressing the envelopes & they are ready to go!

I'm doing a year in advance for several reasons: - It's labor day weekend and we are getting married out east. Hotels will be tight and I can only block 10 rooms at a time. This way at least immediate family books up and I can open another block. - People make plans for Labor Day weekend in advance, this way they know I'm getting married then

we aren't sending them, we are giving the magnets out at our engagement party memorial day weekend, so I guess 8 months.
