How far in advance can you start planning the...

Honeymoon?

FH want to get started ASAP so we can budget - we want to go to Hawaii the first week (or two, hopefuly) in August.

We booked ours about 6 months in advance. A lot of the hotels and airlines won't even have rates yet for next summer.

You can start when ever they post prices. I think it is usually 1 year in advance.

I have heard that the more far in advance you book the better deal you can get. I plan on looking this summer -approx. 1 year in advance.

We booked ours about 10-11 mos in advance.

Airlines don't usually post their fares until 331 or 333 days in advance of a flight (and that's the return flight).

You could put the rest of the package together (if you're working with a TA) and then they will book the airfare when it becomes available.

We booked out HM about 8 months out. It turned out to be a really good think we did, since we were flying on miles and those seats fill up much faster.

You can start researching asap, of course. That's a lot of fun! But I don't think you can book anything until 330 days prior to your departure.

We booked ours 2 years in advance.....got the 2004 rates for Disney and Disney cruise - probably saved over $400 between the land vacation for 5 nights and the 7 night cruise. Also got the 2004 rates for land transfers, even though we just booked them! So, if you can, it pays to book early. Also just booked the plane.

I already started looking and I'm a year after you... You can prob go travel agents now if you are gonna use one. But I know that if you are gonna book online instead, that sometimes they wont give you rates for a certain length away. But I think your date will prob be within the time limit.
