Just wondering when everyone ordered their BM dresses, or when they plan to order? My wedding is in November, and I told my bridal party that we're going to order the dresses in March because the store told me no later than that. Some people think it's too early to order the dresses. But my wedding is 8 months away, so it sounds ok to me. I really don't want to wait any longer myself because I want there to be plenty of time for the dresses to come in and fix any mistakes that could happen. So does it sound normal to be placing the order now?

I'm going shopping today and plan on having my girls order in mid-April.
I think 4-6 months is fine, but if you want to go now, who cares?

I ordered mine six months before, from David's Bridal and they came in less than two weeks.

Wow 2 weeks!!! I know the place I'm going to order from said it would take about 10 weeks or so.
Most weddings I've been in, we always ordered like a year in advance, so I figured me doing 8 months in advance wasn't that crazy, haha. But some of the girls just think it's too soon, and I'm getting the impression they don't want to go and order now.

You should go whenever YOU feel comfortable, don't worry about what everyone else thinks. I don't think 8 months before is too soon, especially if it takes 10 weeks to come in.

Exactly - you have time, but ordering 8 months isn't not normal. . .maybe your girls are a little tight on cash so they want to put it off?

i ordered them alittle less than 5 months before my wedding day. Still hasnt arrived yet! I'm expecting them next month, so that would be 3 months

I ordered mine in September for my July wedding which is 10 months before and my dresses just came in last week and their fittings are in may. So I had 2 months in between.

You should really go whenever you feel like it. My wedding is in June and we just ordered this past week. They should be in on 4/24 so if you want to wait that's fine too.

I ordered the Alfred Angelo BM dresses in mid-January. They arrived in mid-April, leaving a month for alterations. I got them from Pearl's Place, and I was very satisfied with the price, timeliness, and arrival time of the dresses. YMMV---different manufacturers and retailers will have different lead times.

I ordered my BM dresses in November for a July wedding. I know that June-August is the busy season for weddings, so I wanted a head start!

we ordered ours this summer. They are jcrew and they were discontinuing a lot of the dresses that came in the color I wanted them to wear, so we had to order them then. I think if you do it before 2 months you will be fine.
