You can go from 60 days to 24hours before the ceremony.

They are only good for 60 days and you have to have them at least 24 hours before the wedding day.

I would go at least a week or two if not more.
We went yesterday and we were turned away - the line was too long.
Good thing we didn't wait until the last minute.

We went four days in advance, but I would recommend going at leat two weeks before the wedding to be less stressed about it and be able to cross another 'must do' off the list.
The first two days that we went to the office (in Manhasset) we couldn't get it because their computer system was down...it was stressful!
