Just wondering when you did/ are going to book your RD resturant. I know when we booked giardinos for my son's baptism (we went the end of february) there were like no dates available for april b/c of other christenings and graduation parties etc. and we got lucky b/c someone had just canceled. I dont want to have that problem when it comes to the RD although I dont think in february it would be a problem.

mine was booked six months in advance. as soon as i got the confirmation on date and time from my priest, my FIL's booked the dinner.

yay!! the food is sooo yummy!!!! did you need the bigger room or the small one?
We are debating between Giardino's, erin's isle, or another place ( forget the name) giardinos is so good and the price isnt bad - but its a little further away from the church then the other two and we already had the baby's baptism there I also have a feeling my shower might be held there... hmmm

Yes I love the food there. I can't wait! My FMIL actually went to book it so I'm not sure what room we're getting (she told me the name of it but I forgot). We are having 45 people though. Another good rest. by us is Marbella. My bridal shower was held there. The food is really yummy!

If you have 45 people you have the bigger room when you first walk in.. the long skinny one! thats the one we had Erin's Isle is right at the very end of francis Lewis blvd... right before the whitestone shopping center. Its italian food and its really small. I think they can only hold up to 45 people... its pretty cozy though with the fireplaces and everything .. i think it would be nice for a winter wedding. Its a little more then giardinos but I dont know how the food is

Oh ok. I know where it is. It does sound really nice for a winter wedding RD. You and your fh should go out to a romantic dinner there sometime to taste the food.

thats a good idea hehe Last weekend I asked him to take me out to dinner... he said ok Ill take you out.......................to the backyard and bbq for you! lol we are so ppor right now!! but what can you do

FILs gave us a certain amount of money and told us to spend it on whatever we needed, but to include the RD in that money. We decided we would rather spend that money on something wedding related, so we're going to have the RD at our house. It's just going to be a casual pizza party. We'll have some salad and finger foods and dessert and give out our gifts.

Hello Fellow February Bride!! We booked ours two months before. Being that it is in February, you should not have too much trouble booking around two to three months before. There are no holidays. Try calling places and ask them when they recommend you book by. Can't hurt!! Good Luck!!!

Thanks!!! thats the great thing about february!! all the vendors are so willing to work on the price and you can pretty much have the pick of what vendors you want! The only thing I was a little worried about was it being the sat. night after valentines day... if people dont go out that weekend they might go out the next. I will probably book 3 or 4 mos in advance

FMIL booked it in March. The only trouble we had was that it will be on a Saturday night. She is inviting all OOT hotel guests. The RD could be about 50 people between our immediate families, wedding party and the OOT's. And she also wanted a separte room for us. A lot of places didn't want to set aside a room for that many people on a Saturday night.
