Someone told me around 8 months to order them...I haven't even made my list yet. I'm freaking!

I ordered mine in January for my June wedding. I think 8 months is a bit much, you have some more time.

I ordered mine in June for my December wedding, they were in a week later. I had to send them back (they forgot to put my parents' names and it read out like I was marrying my brother) and they were there again 3 days later.

I ordered mine in Sept for my March wedding. My Cousin is doing the calligraphy, so I wanted to give her time to get it done! But, they literally take no more than a week to come in!

It all depends on the invitations you are ordering ...
Something very simple, right out of the book, can come in quickly.
Anything that's layered or custom is definitely going to take longer than a week. But I would say 6 months should be ok.
If you have the time now, then you can always order them sooner if all the information is finalized (church, hall, times, etc.)

Please don't freak out because then I'm really going to freak out. i've been working on my invitations with the 'invitation lady' for months and I'm getting married in march. I will get the final mock up this week for semi custom invitations. She keeps telling me not to worry because they can come in in just under two weeks. I'm going to have them computer calligrified ? My list is ready to go I just need to agree on the last mock up. Also my fmil is still working on her list but I know everything will be ok-it wouldn't be a wedding without all this stress and pressure. You'll be ok-i'll let you know how everything goes with me. trust me even when you plan time goes by so quickly. shop around so when it's time you'll know exactly what you want and get it for the price you want.

Um. I ordered mine in September and I got married in February. Can I tell you that they came in in about 5 minutes?
Unless you are making them yourself, I think within six months and you are ok.

i had mine made...so i ordered them in June and with all my changes i didnt get them till late Sept!
