How far in advance can you realistically expect to have your seating done for the wedding?
I mean, I know there will always be changes, BUT what would you say a relaisitc time frame would be??
I plan to send my invites out sometime at the end of august....was HOPING to have my seating done end of october....do you think this is realistic?

I think that sounds realistic. There might be a few last minute changes but overall I think that is a good time frame

Re: How far in advance for seating?
depends how many RSVP's u will have by that time my cousin was doing the seating until about a week before the wedding. it kept changing all the time.
I hope to be done with mine about 2 weeks before, otherwise I will go nutso

Re: How far in advance for seating?
I want to have an RSVP date of 5-6 weeks prior to the wedding rather than 4 weeks because I am really nervous about setting up the tables and all. I need to know by 3 weeks in advance how many tables I am having for my florist contract. I am worried I won't have an accurate number if my RSVP date is just 4 weeks before the wedding, and I only have 1 week to wait for the stragglers and set everything up.

Re: How far in advance for seating?
as crazy as it may sound. i already did my seating arrangements based off of my guest list. we are only inviting 110 people & i know who will sit with who. so once the responses come in its the difference of removing people who can not attend.
i think if you are having a small wedding you should be able to have them done once your guest list is set. if you have a large guest list i don't know if it would be as easy.

This is a really good idea!!! I'm going to do this once I finalize the guest list!

Re: How far in advance for seating?
2 weeks is reasonable.... I am already having conversations with my family and FH's family to get an idea of where to seat people etc this way I will be able to just make the tables as the rsvp come in.
