We want to leave time for a B list and not be overwhelmed by RSVPs...
Is sending them in the beginning of March for a June 5 wedding too early (RSVP date being May 1)

Re: How far in advance of your wedding date
I sent mine out October 25th with an rsvp of December 1st for our January 16th wedding. We wound up not doing a B-list though and just sent everybody all at once.

Re: How far in advance of your wedding date
i dont think its that early, maybe a little but really not too bad. if you send them out the first week and they get there the second week, then they will have like 7 weeks to get them back to you.
my rsvp date is march 18, im going to send them out the first week of february giving them about 5-6 weeks.

Re: How far in advance of your wedding date
I am trying to figure this as well, I think what is important is having enough time between RSVP date and wedding in order to invite the B-listers, 5-6 weeks I think is good (most ppl do one month it seems). Getting them out earlier to give the A-list a longer time to reply wouldn't be much help, unless people send them back early which is not necessarily likely. What I'm trying to say, is make the reply date earlier not the send out date.

Re: How far in advance of your wedding date
Your time frame is fine! Usually the rule is send them out about three months and have your rsvp a month in advance. If you do a b-list wait four to six weeks after you send out your originals without updating the RSVP date.
