How far in advance should MOB/MOG order their dresses?
Just wondering how long it usually takes for MOB/MOG dresses to come in. I keep asking both of them when they want to go shopping and they both seem to think they have plenty of time. TIA

My MIL ordered her dress 4 months before the wedding and it came in time for her to have 2 fittings before pickup. On the other hand, ask any vendor and they will tell you it's never too early to buy a dress because it's better to have it in early, than to be stressing it's not going to come in time. Good Luck!

i ordered their dresses in october. only because they came with me to get my gown and we just happened to pick their dress at the same time.

My FMIL hasn't even started shopping yet. We get married in 78 days!!!! She has lost 20 pounds and wants to lose 20 more. HOLY COW!

my mom is having her dress made, she started in january.
my fmil hasnt even begun to look. it makes me sad.

Both my mom and my FMIL haven't even started to seriously look yet. Oh well, that's their problem to worry about, not mine!

my mom went to totally you in bellmore and they had it in stock. The recommend 5-6 months in advance

I was told most MOB/MOG dresses take 3 months to come in. Then figure 1 month for fittings/alterations. So I'd say no later than 4 months before the big day.
Of course, you could always get them off the rack elsewhere or at David's where they come much quicker.
