My rsvp is a month before the date of my wedding. I was thinking of sending invites out 6 weeks before the rsvp date. Is this too long or about right? Also, when should b list invites go out?

I'm sending mine 5-6 weeks prior. I'm doing this so that I can send any b-list invites about 3-4 weeks prior.

I was just talking about this with my mother last night. My wedding is 5/30, the RSVP date is 5/2 and I will probably be sending out the invites around 3/30.
i'm sending mine out 3 months before the wedding...after the lack of rsvps for my e-party, i really think i need the extra time
