Thanks LI girls! I'm from Queens.....would this be easy to get to for my OOT guests? I blocked off rooms at the Holiday Inn at Rockville Ctr but they are a little pricey...I want to offer the guests a choice and there is a Best Western in Woodbury...
I also checked with the Marriott in Uniondale but they weren't much cheaper than the Holiday Inn!

it is maybe 20 minutes depending on traffic. on a traffic filled day it can take 30-35 minutes. i used to live in baldwin.

About 15 minutes on the parkway, not too far. Also, see if they will provide a shuttle for your guests, alot of hotels do that.
(Edited to say: Yes, closer too 20, but the way that I drive, 15...)

i dont think it will be too far away- if your reception is in the afternoon, then hopefully there wont be any traffic!!

I can tell you it is closer to 1/2 hour - it is 20-25 mins from garden city -
Did you check out the red roof inn right next to roosevelt field- I am not a fan of them but I hear this one is ok and is just as good as the places you are looking at. What about the Holiday inn in westbury next to the Chateau briand that is much closer to baldwin than woodbury

I think your best bet is to go to the places you want to block rooms at and ask to see a room - most places will supposedly do this for you - that way you can see if they are acceptable or not. They will probably show you the best room - (so if it is not a dump then you should be ok)
