I just realized that I have not booked the hotel that we are getting ready at....There are two options for me.
Option 1 - Nicer hotel but 20 min from RH Option 2 - OK hotel but 5 min from RH
I am renting a red mustang convertible to go from the hotel to the RH but the whole point was to be closer to the RH than home....what would you do?

I'd stay closer. I agree that the point of staying in the hotel is convenience of being closer on the day of.

But you should see the pics of the hotel thats further...they have a great spiral staircase it looks sooooo pretty and the pics will be great. Its also cheaper....

I say splurge and go for the hotel 20 minutes away, although you have to think if you have to take major highways, whether or not there's going to be traffic that time of day and your schedule of getting ready depending on where you stay.....good luck!!

I am going to plan accordingly for traffic and since we are taking pics before the ceremony we have to be at the RH by 10AM I think the traffic wont be that bad in westchester.

If the hotel that's prettier is also cheaper, def do that. 20 minutes isn't crazy, if it was 45 minutes I'd say no.

I went to a wedding in NJ the hotel was 45 minutes further into NJ ....which means a. my house was closer and b. between the ceremony and RH when myself and the best mans girlfriend went back to hotel to change outfits (it was a black tie event) it took forever!
After this long story I would say the closer one b/c its more convenient....I don't think OOTs or family members will care if its not a 5 star hotel for a 1 night stay.
