to have the perfect wedding?? I will compromise on somethings if I can't have it all. I saw on bridezilla someone took a second morg. on their home. That is def a no no.

i will go as far as charging some items and that it i am really trying to pay things in cash i also am willing to skimp on flowers invites and limos...

I am keeping my wedding in perspective. There is NOTHING that I honestly have to have because I am just so genuinely happy that I am marrying such a good man. I know that my wedding will be fabulous even with out the petal cones lol So, as far as comprimising ... I wont make any decisions that will make me and FH experience financial hardship because the last thing I want to do is start off our marriage with debt and unneeded stress! Anyway thats my take on it

not far at all- while i realize that this is a once in a lifetime event i have to be practical. So I am making DIY projects which cut the cost down but nothing too elegant or ellaborate for this chica....
anyhow, to me the simpler the more classier.....

I really didn't want a big elaborate wedding in the first place, FH did...ten of thousands of $$$ later it's now a different story.
I really wanted to use the money for a down payment on a home. FH is convinced we're going to get the $$$ back. Sorry I'm rambling this is probably a post for a different thread.
We are cutting back on things like flowers, invites, no programs, no fancy limos and favors. I am also doing some DIY projects like making menu's.

We're trying to stick to our budget because we refuse to be in debt over this wedding. I'm happy to DIY a bunch of projects and leave out limos.
The problem is that every time that I suggest cutting back on something my mother tells me that I have to have it. At least she's putting in extra money every time something like that comes up. I definitely feel like she's trying to show up her friends with this wedding. I really can't complain because they are all nice things to have and if she's willing to pay for it then that's great.

Not far enough where we would be in debt and not be able to live. We are paying everything in cash, we may have to charge a little but nothing to crazy.

so far so good....going to try and not charge anything on the credit card
i am paying for half my girls dresses since the dresses that I want for them are over 300 dollars and i am not going to make them pay for it since I want them so bad....
i have 8 bridesmaids...needless to say im shelling out alot of money for half their dresses
