I have been calling my salon for almost 3 months trying to get a swatch of my dress. Supposedly only the manufacturer supplies swatches -- so I call like every 3 weeks to see what's going on with it. I would hardly call that being annoying. I have been told that someone would call me back and they never did. I was told they would cut out a square from the inside of the dress and mail it to me. It didn't sound right to me but I waited for it -- and nothing. Forget about being a bride -- I am a paying customer -- seriously, w t f?
If you don't complain, you get jerked. If you do, then you're a bride from hell. I'm sick of the wedding industry.

I had the same problem with my salon and trying to get a swatch for my moms gown first they couldnt get a swatch and she had to wait until her first fitting but she needed it to dye her shoes then one woman said she could get it and would order it so i called like 2 weeks later and i get no we cant order it so i call the manufacturer and they said its no problem but they salon has to call so finally they call and my mom got it this past weekend
it was like pulling teeth for a stupid swatch

I hear you -- I think I've been patient. I'm losing it. If the salon wasn't in Manhattan I would have gone down there today.

i called my salon, and they had it to me within a couple of days, the company sent it to them and i picked it up, they offered to mail it to me as well.

Hey ladies, I dont know what manufacturers u girls had but I had dessy and bari jay and went to their websites in which from dessy i bought the swatch from and emailed barijay for a swatch and they sent it to me. I dont know if that helped but why dont you try to email the manufacturer...just a thought. HTH

Wow I feel bad for you I went right to the salon and bought swatches right away and then of course lost them but went to the website and ordered them.. I had to do it 2 times both with alfred angelo and davids bridal. Good Luck!!

I had trouble getting my swatch too. And the bridal place was not nice about it at all when i called the first time or the few times after. Eventually it came in and they didn't even let me know- i only found out because I called again. I was shocked when I saw it - raggedy tiny little thing but it gets the job done. I needed it for everything: shoes, veil, and the guy's tux shirts....

Not to bad mouth them but... yeah they are horrible to get a swatch out of them... My former boss' wife used theman suggested I do... I tried... they were rude #1 then I could not get swatches to take home (I had been told I couldpurchase them at the salon). I just gave up with them... unfortunately you can't...GOOD LUCK!!
