Re: How have you cut/save costs for the big day?
having it on a sunday, not doing limos since the ceremony and reception are in the same place, and we're keeping the guest list small... we're also not doing slipper baskets or bathroom baskets, not getting the BM's flowers (i'm going to make them lace corsages that i saw in the martha stewart wedding magazine)... i also found a lady that gave us a great deal on the invites we wanted (she's a liw vendor on here)
if i think of anything else i'll post it

Re: How have you cut/save costs for the big day?
I walked into the dj and picked out the package I wanted, well, my mom picked it out because she wants all the glitz and glamour and he said 2950.
I told him I was a working college student and now that same package is 2350.
And as for the wedding video, I'm not getting one cause knowing my FH he'll tape over it and there goes $2,000!

Re: How have you cut/save costs for the big day?
Having it on a Sunday saved us thousands of dollars. Making my own centerpieces (silk and I bought everything from AC Moore with coupons and 60% off sales) Bargained with most of our vendors. I'm doing a ton of DIY projects. And lastly, I dont bu ANY wedding related stuff unless I see sales or I have coupons.
I'm so proud--I've never had so much self-control with money before!
